Originally the firm was known as Bekink & Kotze attorneys, but in recent years the name was changed to BB&A.

The firm is a single practice law and advisory firm managed by Dr. Bernard Bekink. Bernard is a widely known legal practitioner and law academic in South Africa, both as an attorney with 30 years of experience and as a former law professor and legal academic at the department of Public Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Pretoria. Bernard completed his articles at Couzyn, Hertzog and Horak attorneys in Pretoria in the early nineteen nineties and was admitted as an attorney in 1993.

Notwithstanding the fact that the firm is a single practice, the firm indeed harnesses and provides a wide range of legal expertise and services in a variety of legal fields. Apart from specialized expertise in fields such as: Constitutional Law; Local Government Law; Administrative Law; Planning and Procurement Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution, the firm also utilizes the expertise of a dedicated team of expert associates and consultants, all of whom are well known in legal circles and fully committed to ethical client relations, expert legal assistance and the provision of quality professional legal services.
